8x10" oil on gallery wrapped canvas 1/2005

An older wok admittedly - I've been taking my time with newer pieces so don't have anything "new" per say to show, but I did want to upload a few of my older works that I am particularly fond of.

Thoughts of the Tsunami tragedy that claimed the lives of 150,000 people in Southern Asia and East Africa prompted me to create this piece which I have placed into my "Sublime Intervention" series of work as I truly believe those who lost their lives are in a better place now....50% of the proceeds from this sale was donated to the Red Cross through to help relief efforts over seas.

This is amazing. I have attempted this once before with a much different message of love between a father and child, and how it pertained to God the Father as a figure. My attempt turned out much less powerful and defined, an issue I see often with this kind of technique. This is absolutely beautiful. You are definitely getting a fave. The title along with the implied wave in the sparse and powerful blue makes me think of the Coldplay song Swallowed in the Sea. With that kind of lovely tune going in your head it helps keep it very powerful and heavy hitting message.

Beautiful work, I love that colour combo and it has a very alive and dynamic feel to it.

My small well
-where the waiters wait
-laying down pedal'd desires my feet
-where the heart is
-where the treasure follows

A small tale
-told by the followers
-they followed me
-not wanting to be noticed
-not wanting not to be noticed

Tis nice. I like how the blue tones both contrast the red colors and outline the little bits of the painting. Tis wondorful. I really like it

I am loving the texture and contrast, and the ethereal figure which appears to be standing there. Very nice.

Wonderful, vibrant piece. I love the amazing texture of the canvas, and how the figure is so blithely walking along, no sign of fear, while this wall of color, of motion, of depth, swirls about her and is about to block her from our view. The use of blue here is fantastic. Really, really striking.
