8x10" oil on gallery wrapped canvas - 2/2005 - from the "Contemplations on Being a Woman" series

She watched the reflections of the urban lights shimmer across the surface of the otherwise calm lake. The atmosphere was a buzz with the sights and sounds of a new place she had never encountered. As she stepped toward the waters edge the hues carressed her skin and she wondered if this was to be her silent welcome to a new home....

For server space I pretty much keep them at that size, I know I should probably save them larger.... sorry :(

Thank you for your comment though, I am glad you like it!

Wow...holy shit, your whole gallery just blew me away! This is my favourite piece though...it makes me think of freedom and dreams. Love it :)

A wonderful piece. I feel emboldened just looking at it. Not necessarily to go skinny dipping in a cold urban lake, but perhaps to do go take on something else that I've been afraid to do. The colors are beautiful, and the texture is really something else. The only drawback I can see is maybe that the texture is too uniform throughout the piece. A variety of textures might help add some....um, variety! Not that I'm one to criticize. I have a tendency to do that with my pieces as well.
